Graduations for the APESMA La Trobe MBA were held in October with another round of graduates completing their studies in style. Hosted in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, the graduation ceremonies are celebrations of commitment and hard work at this very important time in a professional’s career. They are an excellent opportunity for students to meet with fellow graduates as well as attending industry leaders.
In Sydney, the Director General of NSW State and Regional Development, Mr Loftus Harris, was the keynote speaker. The Brisbane ceremony was addressed by the CEO of Energex, Mr Andrew Kremor. The Melbourne session had 160 attendees for 34 graduates, and the guest speaker was The Honourable John Brumby, Treasurer of the State of Victoria. The treasurer addressed the audience on the importance of skills and learning in a business climate that is rapidly evolving beyond national boundaries and geographical space. For every graduate, the ceremonies were not only a fitting conclusion to their studies, but a reminder that the next step in their careers was now ready to be taken.
The highlight for many Chifley staff was the opportunity to meet with Mr Chandana Lokuge Don and Mrs Kulari De Silva, two of the graduates who are married with children. The support all our graduates receive from their families and loved-ones is vital to completing their studies, but when your partner is also a student, there is double the household commitment!
Chifley would like to congratulate and thank all graduates for a wonderful ceremony, and the opportunity to work with them to achieve their career goals.
