APESMA's National Assembly has approved the appointment of four external directors for the board of Chifley Business School. The move follows a decision by National Assembly to strengthen the range of expertise on the board and links with industry.
Meanwhile APESMA's former Chief Executive John Vines has been appointed as Chairman. Other APESMA nominees to the board include APESMA National President, Dario Tomat, as well as Chifley Business School's Chief Executive, Neil Edwards.
The new external directors for the business school are:
John Vines Former Chief Executive, APESMA (Chairman). Chair of national Innovation and Business Industry Skills Council. Awarded Order of Australia Medal for services to education of professionals.
Ian Cordiner Partner, Cordiner King executive search. Mr Cordiner is an engineer and has held senior roles in ANL, Henry Jones IXL and McKinsey.
Bill Jackson Pricing Manager, ElectraNet Pty Ltd and National Vice President APESMA. Mr Jackson is an engineer with extensive experience in the South Australian power industry.
Loftus Harris Mr Harris' previous roles include Director-General, Department of State and Regional Development, NSW. Director General, Queensland Department of the Premier, Trade and Economic Development, and as Australian Trade Commissioner in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Awarded Member of the Order of Australia Medal for services to economic and regional development in New South Wales, to the promotion of international trade and investment policies, and to the community.
David Lloyd Chief Operating Officer of the Baker Heart Research Institute, and previously Chief Executive of Melbourne University Private. Prior roles include business development for the University of Tasmania and in trade development.
Alison Terry Former Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, GM Holden Ltd. Ms Terrys earlier roles included private legal practice as well as corporate management.
Dario Tomat Partner, Whetstone, and National President APESMA. Mr Tomat has worked previously in consulting and construction, in Tasmania Hydro and Tasmanian Premier and Cabinet and Economic Development.
